Operating a mini crawler excavator on soft, unstable ground presents unique challenges. Wider tracks are available for many models to reduce ground pressure and increase flotation. When moving across mud, use the boom and arm to "walk" the machine forward, distributing weight and preventing the tracks from sinking. If your mini crawler excavator does become stuck, avoid spinning the tracks, which will dig you in deeper. Instead,
use the bucket to push against solid ground in front of you to pull the machine out. Always plan your exit route and keep the undercarriage of your mini crawler excavator clear of packed-in mud to maintain balance and performance.
